The White Rose Film Adaptation In Competition

In October 2019 the student short film adaptation of The White Rose came to life. Capturing the essence of the forty minute stage drama in a twelve minute short film, the work is significant in that every aspect of the film from script to screen, development to premiere was made possible and independently achieved by high school students. Upon completion the film immediately entered festival consideration.

In December 2019 the filmmakers were honored to be named an Official Selection for the November round of the IMDb qualifier’s Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles, and in July 2020 the film earned its most prestigious laurel yet when it was named an Official Selection of the 2020 All American High School Film Festival in New York City, the world's largest student film festival. The film continues in submission for consideration to independent film festivals nationwide.
