The White Rose Film Adaptation In Competition

On October 10, 2019, BCA launched its inaugural Bradford Christian Academy Film Festival, hosted and produced by senior Kaley Chandler.  With entries open to students and alumni, the event was the venue for the premiere of the student short film adaptation of The White Rose.  Capturing the essence of the forty minute stage drama in a twelve minute short film, the work is also significant in that every aspect of the film from script to screen, development to premiere was made possible and independently achieved by high school students.

In December 2019 the filmmakers were honored to be named an Official Selection for the November round of the IMDb qualifier’s Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles, and in July 2020 the film earned its second and most prestigious laurel yet as it was named an Official Selection to the 2020 All American High School Film Festival in New York City, the world's largest student film festival.  The film continues in submission for consideration to independent film festivals nationwide.
